Las islas del adriático son espectaculares. Recomiendo las del sur, sobre todo Mlet. Hay gente que hace el recorrido desde Rijeka a Dubrovnik en bici visitando las islas y saltando de isla en isla.
La zona de Istria es bonita, aunque merece más la pena viajar hacia al sur.
En el interior de Croacia cerca de la costa, más o menos entre Rijeka y Zadar hacia Bihac está El parque natural de Plivice. Es el paisaje de lagos y bosques más espectacular que conozco de Europa, y para mí visita obligada.
El resto del interior de Croacia no lo conozco muy bien. Zagreb que es una típica ciudad centroeuropea, bien conservada y con buen ambiente.
Eslavonia (no Eslovenia) tiene Slavonski Brod, ciudad monumental, pero separada de las rutas culturales, artísticas, etc.. al lado de la frontera yugoslava, y en una zona bastante machacada por la guerra.
Los eslovenos son muy parecidos a los austríacos, y buena gente, aunque en la antigua Yugoslavia el tópico era que son tacaños y trabajadores. Los croatas en general son bordes y con mala leche.
